Postpartum Care

We offer professional doula to your home, providing personalized one-on-one services for the mother's comfort and recovery.

Main roles of postpartum doula

The doula at Hanna's Moms Care has completed our exclusive training program. They work diligently in caring for mothers and newborns, serving dedicated support throughout the postpartum recovery process.

Service Guide

Description

1-2 times /day

To prevent bacterial infections in wound areas, promote the healing of damaged birth passages, and aid in the elimination of waste and lochia discharge.

1 time /day

To support engorgement, and ensure smooth breastfeeding.

1 time /day
To support lochia discharge, promote uterine contraction, and prevent abdominal obesity

(However, for mothers who have undergone surgery, the care will be provided after 3 weeks, depending on the mother's condition.)

To perform as needed to promote partial blood circulation and relieve pain.

Roles & Responsibilities of Doula

Mother Care

Nutrition Care & Grocery Shopping

  • Additional cooking for members other than the mother’s spouse will be charged $10 per person & per day

  • The doula will discuss with the mother to prepare nutritious meals that aid in recovery and breastfeeding

  • Grocery shopping time (around 50 minutes) is included in the caregiver's working hours

  • The caregiver prepares meals using ingredients available at the mother’s home, so we recommend having basic ingredients ready

 

Cleaning and Ventilation

The mother’s and newborn's rooms, as well as the kitchen, are cleaned daily.
Other rooms can be cleaned based on
Note: Bathrooms are excluded from cleaning duties

As their main duty is to care for the mother and newborn, only simple household tasks related to this care will be performed, and unrelated tasks will not be undertaken

Laundry

The caregiver will handle laundry for the baby and the mother, including drying and folding
Note: Hand washing is not included

Breastfeeding Support

  • Coaching on breastfeeding positions and breast care, supporting engorgement, and dietary advice to support breastfeeding

  • Coaching how to use and sterilize breast pumps and feeding bottles

Newborn Care

  • Support with feeding and burping, bathing, hygiene management (i.e. umbilical cord care, laundry etc.)

  • Coaching how to use diaper and prevent diaper rash

  • Temperature check for the newborn Sterilizing and organizing feeding bottles

Visit mother's home and work for the contracted hours.

Based on 8 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week.

* Service content may change depending on the mother’s health and situation.
* The basis of all services is for the mother's quick recovery, not for cosmetic purposes.
* If there is a public holiday during the contracted postpartum care period, coordinate the working days in consultation with the postpartum care manager. There is no additional cost.
* If you need to go grocery shopping, the doula can help you with the shopping.

However, 50 minutes is excluded from business hours and shopping expenses are separate.
